Chuck Redd Quintet with Woody Beckner - Well into his third decade of international performances, vibraphonist and drummer Chuck Redd has played with the greats: Charlie Byrd, Mel Tormé, Dizzy Gillespie, Billy Taylor, Marian McPartland, Bucky Pizzarelli, and many more jazz legends. John Toomey Trio with Laura Martier - Prior to joining Old Dominion University as Associate Professor of Jazz Studies and Music Technology, John Toomey was keyboardist and music director for jazz legend Maynard Ferguson. He has performed around the world, including the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and the Berlin Jazz Festival. His trio is joined here by Outer Banks-based vocalist Laura Martier, whose "high-flying expressiveness" (Raleigh News & Observer) lends new life to jazz classics.
